Scrapping4Fun - Challenge 9

I have been blog hopping and found another challenge!!!
This one was definitely different in that you used the initial of your name and then chose a colour beginning with that letter!!!!!!! Colours beginning with 'J' are thin on the ground....so I settled for Jade as that was the only one I could come up with!! LOL The other colour I picked was white!

Me and Mine Challenge

I have just found this blog and there was a fun sketch challenge...I do love a sketch!!!

This is my layout.....

 

I had lots of odd white alphas with no vowels so used them over a sheet of white cardstock....and then inked them a bit!!  At least I have used them.....cleared a bit of space and not wasted them!! The arrow is going round '5th' because that is the year that Alex is in!!

Here is the sketch....and I didn't do too badly with it!!  LOL

My Creative Sketches

Super sketch for January.....I do love a sketch!!! Obviously I made a few additions!!!

 

These photos were taken on our caravan holiday last year.  The children love Partyring biscuits and while Sharon popped out to get more milk for breakfast they started their breakfast with these biscuits!!!  Well they thought it hilarious to use them to peep through....only Nicholas and Cassie couldn't quite do it like Alex!!!

StuckOnUSketches

This is the second sketch of the month and I thought it would be suitable for photos from Krakow. The sketch was two photos but I printed two on each 6x4 which wasn't a problem as I was going to put them together to look like the sketch!!  This is where it went wrong!!  I  printed them  'landscape' instead of 'portrait'!!  It wasn't until I had triple mounted them that I realised that I didn't have enough room for the extra papers etc......I did cut lots of different bracket shapes but in the end I gave in and finished the layout as you see!!!!!!!

 

I am pleased with the end result.  My first layout of our trip to Krakow and some of the nice bits......we had a super time but obviously some of the time it was very sad!!

Scrappy Friends

I do like the challenges at the Scrappy Friends.....although this month I forgot Kelly's color challenge....sorry Kelly!!!!!!

I scrapped some photos from our trip to Colchester Zoo....and managed to fit in the other 3 friends!!

Scrap Our Stash

This is definitely what I have to do....Scrap My Stash!!!

The challenge this month is 5-4-3-2-1.....another challenge that was quite hard and I had to think about!!

I scrapped photos of a crabbing day down at the beach.....the children love it!!  Catch the crabs....count them....put them back!!!  I do wonder if the crabs get fed up being caught and put back!!! LOL  As both the boys got 'pinched' I guess they do!!! Hence the title 'Crabs Pinch'!!!!!!!!!!

 

5 = Photos

4 = Patterned Papers

3 = 3x3 shells

2 = 2 Word Title (or could have 2 cardstock!)

1 = Rubon ( the word 'summer' in the bottom cluster) 

The papers I used were Kaisercraft Rock Pool Collection which I have had for ages so about time I used them!!! LOL

Paper Secrets

The challenge at Paper Secrets was to use a sketch and things that began with the letters W I N T E R....this was harder than it looked!!!

For my layout I used photos of Alex at his class assembly last year.

 

This is the sketch....

W = White cardstock

I   = Ink...I used Sticky Fingers Autumn Gold Ink on the background. Also inked the edges of some of the papers.

N = Number 4.  Number 9 is highlighted as this was his age.

T = Template...I used an alphabet template for the background and the Autumn Gold Ink.  I used a Tape roller to stick it all down...but you can't see that!! LOL

E = Eyelets....these don't see the light of day much so it was a chance to use some!! Also used some school Embellishments.

R = RicRac  

I think I covered it all!!!!!!!!!!!

I was pleased with the end result....and it made me think!!!  LOL

Scrapping Everyday Miracles

The January challenge is 'Friends Forever'.

I have done a mixed media wall hanging for Jean.

 

I used an MDF board that I bought at Ally Pally (about time I used it!!) and used paper, music sheet, paste, masks, paint, sprays and lots of bits for texture. Fun to do but very messy!!!

They also have a sketch card challenge.

2014 First Challenge!!

My mojo went walkabout for a little while...but now the New Year is here.....and this is my first challenge!

I used a photo of Lee wearing Cassie's shower cap because it was so funny!!  Lee shaves his head and I got the shower cap for Cassie to save her hair getting wet when she showers/baths...and when Lee put it on she said..." You have no hair Daddy...you only have a head"!!!!  So true...but so funny from a 4year old!!!!!!  So it had to be scrapped!!!

The criteria was to include sparkles, mix of alphas, two staples and a fun photo...and to take inspiration from the image!!

I sprinkled sequins over because they were on the hat, used three different alphas, the bottom strips which refer to Cassie's comment are stapled on...and I definitely think it is a fun photo!!!  The inspiration was Christmas and I used a tree and the papers were Ruby Rock-It 'Joyeux Noel' collection.
