Prims - New Love

Cassie took up horse riding earlier this year....loved it...and gave up dancing to ride more!!!

The challenge at Archi-Scraps require stones or bricks.  Having spent two days with masks, texture paste and inks and not getting the result that I wanted I gave up and settled for stony paper!!!

Selfie

I am not very good at taking selfies but everyone else seem to do a good job!!!  A Lee selfie taken when they all went to London to the DC Show!

 

I am entering the challenge at ARTastic......

 

 

........for inspiration this month it is a picture from Arthur Baker Clark 'The Citadel, St Tropez and the criteria is to use ink/paint.

I used spray ink for the background paper, inked the title 'Selfie' and inked all the paper edges.

Clay Pigeon Shooting

Since Alex has been in Explorers he seems to do more exciting stuff.....Clay Pigeon Shooting being one of them!!  He had a blast (!) and also had a good eye for the pigeons!!!

 

I used Rochelle Spears sketch.....even had to print my leaf paper as I didn't have any!!

The Greatest Show

Before horse riding Cassie did dancing.....and this layout is a photo from the show that was staged at the Towngate Theatre, Basildon.

Deep Sea Dive

Alex has been scuba diving for a while and whilst on holiday this year did his Deep Sea Dive...which now means he can dive any where in the world!!  At 14 I think that is an awesome achievement!!

Man of the Match

Nicholas is a goalie, and as his Dad is the team coach he doesn't seem to get the trophy for Man of the Match very often....even when he deserves it when his defense is playing rubbish!!!  But he got it in February!!

 

I am entering the challenge at White +1 which this month is orange and was ideal for Nicholas goalie top!!  I flicked orange paint for the first time...think I got more on me!

 

 

The mood board was to inspire and to add an element from the board.  I added ricrac as it seemed to mirror the braid.

Warhammer

One of Alex hobbies is playing Warhammer...he even runs a club at school! So when he goes to Warhammer World with Lee they really have a good time!!  All the little bits I have used for the embellishments are pieces from Warhammer figures that Alex builds that are 'overs' or he didn't use!!

 

I am joining the challenges at Rochelle Spears and Scrap with Stacy - who are Scrappy Friends!!

Rochelle has a sketch + you must use plaid patterned paper......

  

Stacy has an October Song Inspiration/Word /phrase challenge.......

 

....love the words in this song and I think they are so true!!  I will certain miss scrapping the stuff they do now, because as they get older it appears that it is difficult to even get a photo!!  I used the words 'Good Times' because that is what they have when they play Warhammer!!

Champ!

Photos of Nicholas usually involve a football so it makes a change to scrap something different!  This was his last swim gala at Blenheim and was Champion boy again!

Back to School - 2016

I have never scrapped such a large photo before but the challenge at Sketches in Thyme required one so thought I would give it a go!!

 

I did struggle with it....in fact this is the second attempt....quite happy with the result but I will not be printing off too many large photos...will stick to 6x4!!!

Nicholas Birthday

I always find birthdays and Christmas quite hard to scrap so when the challenge at GoGo came up it was ideal to make me do one!!
