Colour my World

I haven't done a lot of scrapping as the sun has been shining and I have sat in the garden with a book!!  So time to get scrapping again as the summer seems to be over!!!
The challenge at White.....with 1 this month is Rainbow!!  These photos of my three grandchildren seemed ideal for this layout!!

Time 4 tea and cake

Photo from Sharon, Lee and the children on holiday in the Lake District.....judging by their photos they spent a lot of time doing this...but they did spend a lot of time walking getting rid of the calories too!!!!

 

I started with the sketch- 384 at Sketches in Thyme..... 

 

The criteria at UnstampaBelles is Tea in the Garden and to use some watercolouring somewhere.   I pinched the children's watercolour box and flicked paint on the white cardstock.....then painted the plain alphas. It took 3 coats for the alphas......I will stick to my acrylics in future!!!

Solar Edging

I was lucky enough to be asked to be a Guest Designer again this month....this time for Archi-scraps.

It was a musical theme this month....as no-one sings or plays anything I have to use music papers!  I do like music papers and try and find something appropriate.....as the photos were garden related I found a song called In The Garden!!!!

New Computer

Alex saved up for ages to be able to buy his computer! It all came in bits and he had to build it himself! I think they call it a 'gaming' computer as it is very fast!!!

Sharon and Alex - Walton

Sharon took Alex to Walton for the day and they were going to go fossil hunting!! Love these two photos of the two of them.....

 

I am entering the challenge at Creative Embellishments....

 

I did struggle with all the blues on the mood board so ended up using every blue spray (that worked!) and blue paint that I had for the background....plus a couple of stencils!! There are also a couple of Creative Embellishments on the layout...in the end I was pleased with it!!! The extra criteria was waves or clouds...the waves are in the sea!!!

Beach Time

As we live at the 'seaside' we often go to the beach...but usually when there are not a lot of day trippers so these photos were taken in October during ½ term!  It was a lovely day (hence no coats) and I love the way the sun was shining on the sea!

A Little Dirt.....

....Doesn't Hurt!!  I thought this was an ideal title for Cassie at the Nuclear Races!!!  The children (and adults) run a course through mud!!!  Then get hosed down at the end!!!!!!!!!!

 

I am entering the challenge at UnstampaBelles who require stencils and sprays.....I have lots of stencils and have used the Tim Holtz - Splatters and also the Tando - Footprints! I have been trying to think why I got the footprints...must have been for Father Christmas? 

I had to resort to paint as my sprays were all clogged up and wouldn't spray!!!!

I am also entering the challenge at ARTastic ....

 

...this is the picture by Rita Angus entitled 'Cass'.....and the criteria is to use paint!

Ouch!

Nicholas broke a bone in his thumb in March playing football! But it did mean that he would be out of football for quite a few weeks as he is a goal keeper!!  Sharon did very well and got a photo of the x-ray at the hospital!! LOL

Paper Boy

Photos from when Alex started his paper round in February 2018....he had to be there at 6.30 and it was the morning it snowed!!!!!!!!!!!

EXPO card

The challenge at UnstampaBelles is Stained Glass Techniques using Dies. I wasn't too sure about this so followed one of the DT's Susan and went with peel offs!  I stuck the peel offs to vellum and colored the back and then mounted on white card before matting on the yellow!
