Scout Pioneer

Alex really enjoys his scouting and he spent some time at Thriftwood doing a Pioneer course....learning different knots and then to build a bridge - and be able to walk on it! using the knots that they had learned!!
It is surprising what a few knots will let you do!!! Reef knot is about my limit....but if you need a bridge built Alex is your man!!! I got Alex to tie some knots for me......knowing it would be a good scrapping opportunity!! He is actually standing on the bridge that he helped build!!

I knew it would be a good scrapping layout and the challenge at Archi-Scraps is.....KNOTS!!!!

Don't you just love this knotty picture!!! How clever were the bricklayers!!!

The challenge closes at the end of the month so lots of time to get tied in knots!!

Bert & Mary Aka Alex and Rebecca

Layout of Alex and his then girlfriend Rebecca when they were celebrating 60year anniversary of Blenheim School. Each class has a different topic and their class did a Disney medley and Alex and Rebecca were Bert and Mary from Mary Poppins!!

I am joining the challenge at Creative Embellishments who always have a photo for inspiration + this month the twist was black and white.

I have some tiny butterflies in one of the backing papers and have used some flowers!!

Just Chillin'

Layout of Nicholas sitting in the garden listening/playing on his Nexus/Ipod??? Could be anything!!! Anyway he looked comfortable!!

Seaside - Hastings

The second challenge at the Studio Challenge is a layout with things beginning with 'S'!!

I started with a 'S'easide layout....and added sea shells, star fish, seahorse, used seaside photos, the sky is blue and used striped paper (and there are stones on the beach)!!!
