Harry Potter

These are a few pages from a Hogwarts Spell and Potion Book that I have made for a Harry Potter Party!!!!!!

 

I cut my paper to size and then soaked it with tea and coffee...then put it in the oven to crinkle nicely!!!!! I used various stamps on the pages after I found lots of spells and potions!!!!!!! LOL

I am entering the challenge at Scrap Africa which they required you to use distressing with a household item.

I am also entering Scraping4Fun challenge that required a stamp to be used.

Both challenges close at the end of the month so still time to distress and stamp!!!

Alex - Class Act

These photos of Alex were taken at his school 60th celebrations last year!  Each year/class had a film theme and Alex film was Mary Poppins and he went as Bert!!

 

I am entering it in the challenge at Merly Impressions who require you use punches, diecuts or dies!  The film strips, film rolls and camera were all cut on the Craft Robo....as was the title!!

The challenge runs until  2nd May...so loads of time to enter!!

It's Raining!

These photos are of Cassie with her new umbrella!!  She was desperate to use it....so she went out in the garden....and Sharon stayed indoors and took photos!! LOL

 

I am entering the challenge at Lasting Memories - 186 - 'It is the little things that matter'!  I think this is very true of these photos.....we will never remember how excited she was to go out in the rain with her new umbrella without these photos!!!!!!!

Scrapping Everyday Miracles Card Challenge.

Mum and Dad

This photo of my Mum and Dad was taken in July 1943 when my Mum was 22 and Dad 24 and he was obviously on leave from the army.  We always thought Mums' hat was funny and she always maintained that she couldn't remember it!!!
I used a real doily that I soaked in tea to get a softer colour and I made the frame from chipboard which I embossed and then spent all day trying to get the colour right with paints and mists!!!

 

I used the sketch from Scrapology....and the extra criteria was to use a poem.  I opted for a poem by Patience Strong as she was a favourite of Mum!!

 

The challenge at Scrapology closes on the 5th May so loads of time to enter!!!

Sew Me!!!

I really enjoyed doing this layout!!!  I used the button idea from Liz at Soul Scrappers...done a similar thing with un-used alphas but this used loads of buttons...of which I have a few!! LOL

 

I covered a piece of 8x8 card in buttons and then painted with gesso and then used various mists until I got a colour I quite liked!!!!!

I used the sketch from Kreative Koncepts....

....well I did start with it....turned it round so the triangles were at the top as I knew I wanted to do bunting.........and then I seemed to veer off!!!!!! LOL

The challenge at Kreative Koncepts ends at the end of the month...so loads of time to get scrapping!!

Let's Party

This is the sketch....

I started off ok....but then veered off!!!!!!!! LOL  I think it was because there was lots of 'white space'!!! I had to do the little bit of lacing as Sharon had lacing up the back of her dress!!

Although I haven't posted for a while I have been scrapping...just not getting round to uploading!!!  So today is the day!! LOL

 

I went to town on this...paint, mists...even paint on my brick stamp!!!

I am entering this in the challenge at Lasting Memories - 180 Alpha Wars!!

Which means...use 2+ different alphas....I used 2 in the title and one in the journaling!!

The criteria........

I used all the colours and my EVIDENCE was solid black cardstock background, music (paper), metal (cogs) and there is also a button in the centre of the cog!!

My TESTIMONY...I used the lyrics from 'You are my sunshine' for the journaling and also put them in different spots!!  I think I am getting the hang of this challenge!!!
